We caught up with two of our current graduates, Lenya Schmidt-Neuhaus and Matthew Capuano-Rizzo to find out their experiences since joining in September 2023.
Robyn joined Steer in 2020 after completing a degree in Geography. Although she had to join virtually due to COVID-induced restrictions this hasn't stopped Robyn already getting involved in a range of projects, our R&I Club, Women in Steer and being a sustainability champion for Steer.

How you think and solve problems is just as important to us as your academic achievements. All subjects are considered but degrees with a quantification element or social science research are preferred.
Complete the online application. We will be in contact within two weeks of the closing date if your application has been successful.
If your application is successful, we will ask you to complete two online tests: numerical and verbal reasoning.
If you are successful in stage two, you will be invited for a first interview. During this interview, we will be looking for examples of your skills and your ability to apply them to the types of situations you will face as a consultant.
If you are successful in stage three, you will be invited to an assessment center. The assessment center is designed to be interactive and a fun part of the application process. You will meet graduates currently on the Graduate Program and find out more about life at Steer.
If you are unsuccessful on this occasion, we will help to identify why, where possible. It also does not rule out applications for other roles at a future date.
Yes, of course! We welcome people from all backgrounds to apply, as long as you have a good academic record, strong people and organizational skills and the drive to make a real difference.
We do offer a small number of student placements. Usually, they are aimed at people who are doing university courses with a year in industry or an internship as a final part of their degree. We recommend regularly checking our Job Opportunities page for relevant opportunities and vacancies.
One of the best things about working at Steer is our people. As well as collaborating well together on projects, we also enjoy socializing together and some life-long friendships have been formed while working here.
We encourage joining networking groups and professional organizations, which hold regular meetings and social activities and help develop skills and industry networks.
