In 2021, Financiera de Desarrollo Nacional (FDN) and Proparco reached financial close of a loan to Electribus Fontibón II to acquire and provide 126 electric buses for Bogotá’s transit system. They also reached financial close of a loan to Electribus Usme I for 133 electric buses for the city's transit system.
The lenders to the concessionaire required the services of an independent engineer to monitor and report periodically on both fleets, battery status and maintenance through the lifespan of the concession contracts.
We are currently working with the lenders and the concessioner to build a set of data to monitor and report the status of both fleets. With the improvement and evolution of that data, we are building a methodology that reports on the more relevant aspects of the fleet status and maintenance and preliminarily identifies any possible issue to prevent or fix it.
