Our client bid for the airports of Aeroport de Lyon (Lyon, Bron) and Aeroports de Cote d’Azur (Nice, Cannes, St Tropez), which were privatised by the French Government in 2016.
For this project, we acted as traffic, commercial and technical advisor to the client throughout the transaction.
Our scope of work included:
- development of an extensive suite of long-term annual and secondary air traffic forecasts (passengers, movements, cargo);
- analysis of the arrangements for the economic regulation of airport charges at both airports;
- assessment of long-term capital investment requirements at Lyon and Nice;
- development of a long-term business plan for both airport groups including aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenues and operating costs, complemented by the creation of a fully functional multi-scenario operating model.
Our forecasts were an important part of the inputs used in the client’s bid model.
