Our LATAM team has supported the change of focus and direction for many projects due to COVID-induced restrictions. Using the foundations of Design Thinking, we have developed user-centred solutions that adjust to the new challenges of operating in virtual contexts.
An example of this is our contribution to the Global Infrastructure Program project, which aims to support economic development through better planning, preparation and execution of sustainable infrastructure projects, and through the international adaptation and application of UK methodologies. The methodologies the GIP deals with are the 5 Case Model (5CM), Project Development Routemap (PDR) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
For this project, we developed a graphic system focused on explaining and adapting the 5 Case Model methodology to the Colombian context. With a pedagogical objective as a design guideline, as well as the applicability of the material during the COVID-19 pandemic, a family of interactive and training digital products were developed, with the Guide for Colombia for the Development of Investment Projects being the focal product of this design development.
The application of the Design Thinking methodology allows us to conceptualize more robust solutions for our clients and with a much-needed innovation value in these times. The final result has been a series of products that have allowed the development of training courses for public officials not only in Colombia but also in Peru and Mexico.
