What's the issue?
In an attempt to speed up procurement of Electric Vehicle Infrastructure, many public sector organisations have been making use of Frameworks and Dynamic Purchasing Systems (DPS) until legal challenge earlier this year halted all progress in this regard. The current draft of the Procurement Act 2023 (coming into force this October) also prohibits the use of frameworks and DPS for concession contracts.
Why act now?
It is time to act now to take advantage of public and private investment into infrastructure that is crucial to supporting the decarbonisation of road transport and supporting your drive towards net zero. As a local authority/public sector organisation, you are best placed to take the lead on the development of public charging infrastructure in your area.
The webinar will cover:
- How to tender for investment opportunities in EVCI through an open process in compliance with national legislation
- Advice from a leading solicitor about the associated legal implications of EVCI tendering and how to steer clear of costly errors
- Characteristics of a successful Invitation to Tender (ITT)
- A featured interview with Barnet Council on what is required for successful tendering, including the different bundles of procurement required besides LEVI to support different types of users in the council with their varying charging needs.
A recording will be sent to those who have registered for the event but cannot attend live.
