Chris Proud AICP joins SDG’s North American team

Chris Proud joins international transport planning consultancy Steer Davies Gleave from CH2MHILL, Inc. where he was a Senior Transit Planner and Project Manager in their global rail and transit market segment. Chris’ appointment, along with the recent addition of Tim Baldwin, is another significant step to further enhance SDG’s future in the United States and Canadian transportation markets. His planning and environmental expertise complements SDG’s rapidly growing staff and portfolio of North American projects. Based in Denver, Colorado he will also be working closely with the Vancouver, Boston and UK offices. Chris brings with him more than 15 years of experience in the transportation industry. He specializes in leading complex multi-modal transportation projects throughout the United States and Canada. He is a skilled public and agency process facilitator for New Starts transit alternatives analysis and public consensus-building. His recent achievements include: authoring an alternatives analysis and screening process for multiple Light Rail Transit (LRT) corridors in Edmonton, Alberta, which has been adopted by the Edmonton City Council for all future LRT expansion projects; and he was instrumental in the accelerated delivery (3-year) of Denver’s Gold Line Alternatives Analysis/Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which was the first FTA Outstanding Achievement Award for Excellence in Environmental Document Preparation award winner.
