Leading transport consultancy Steer Davies Gleave has been appointed by ENAC, the Italian Civil Aviation Authority, to provide due diligence consultancy services on the air routes between mainland Italy and Sicily and Sardinia, which are subsidised under Public Service Obligation (PSO).
The results of this assignment will be used to calculate the subsidy payments owed to Air One and Meridiana, the two airlines providing services on these routes under a concession agreement with ENAC.
Steer Davies Gleave as the transport advisors will evaluate the approach used by the airlines for cost and revenue allocation on each route, as well as review the financial performance.
