We are very proud to have three of our USA-based TDM projects win awards at the ACT National Awards 2020.
The ACT National Awards recognize and honor outstanding achievements in the use of transportation demand management (TDM) strategies to improve transportation options for commuters.
Over 80 nominations were received in 15 categories for this year’s awards, which were presented on the final day of ACT’s Virtual International Conference on August 5, 2020.

Best Website Launch or Revision award: Warner Connects Walk Audit App
As part of our management of the Warner Connects TMO, Steer developed a “Walk Audit” mobile tool which allows pedestrians to log strengths and challenges to the road and sidewalk network in real time, helping our team provide up-to-date information to the City of Los Angeles and LA Metro.
Excellence in Planning award: SCAG TDM Strategic Plan
Steer worked with SCAG to develop a Strategic Plan for TDM delivery across the six-county Southern California region. The Plan included a review of existing conditions, the development of a TDM toolkit, and recommendations for SCAG and its partners to increase TDM programming and improve metrics collection across the region.
Commuting Options – Public Transit award: WSDOT Small Business Transit Subsidy
Our team created a strategic work plan and helped to facilitate a program that attracts and engages with small businesses and non-profits (under 100 employees) in the Seattle area who are not currently signed onto an employer transit program.
